About:
Nathaniel Sesay, aka Mash P, was captured by the rebels in Sierra Leone when he was nine years old. He was forced to fight and for five years he lived in the jungle as leader of the small boy's unit. When the war ended he tried to reconcile with his family but was rejected by his mother and left to live on the streets of Freetown. Still tortured by his past, Nathaniel now finds peace through his music. This film was first broadcast on BBC World
